I pretend I am happy and have all the answers to help everyone else with problems.
I really am lonely, stressed out, and can’t even deal with my own problems.
I wish I had all the answers and people could see how I really feel.
It might be different if I relied on God more.
If we had all the answers and knew what to do in every situation – then we wouldn’t need God. You recognize that you don’t have all the answers – that’s a good thing. The question is – where will you go for the answers?
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight. (Prov 3:5-6)
You probably have heard that verse before, but really look at it – God promises to lead us, but we have to fully rely on Him. We have to pursue Him – and a relationship with Him. We have to make the time to read the Word, learn from Him and talk with Him.
Think if you had a friend at school and you pretty much ignored the friend except when you needed help. Or you needed to borrow her notes. Or needed some other favor. Would that person feel like they were you were friend, or might they feel used?
God loves you – more than you can imagine – and He will never leave you nor forsake you. But He wants a real relationship with you. He wants to count you as a friend. That can only happen if you want that too. It can only happen if you make that time to spend to get to know Him. Then He will be able to help you sort out the questions of your life. Help you figure out if maybe you’ve taken on too much. Be a friend to you.
I am praying for you.
